Join “I’m so Gay for Human Rights: A Forum on Politics and Identities”
Join UP College of Law, Libertas, UP Center for Women’s Studies and Rainbow Rights Project as they bring together the experts on identity politics and party list law, to shed light on the state of party list system and the Philippines’ Commission on Elections (Comelec) decision on Ang Ladlad’s application and other petitions on December 8, Tuesday, 9 AM at the Malcolm Hall Theater, College of Law, University of the Philippines-Diliman.
The timely forum will tackle the identity politics of women, LGBTs and indigenous peoples, marginalization and the party list law. Leading the discussion are speakers Dr. Sylvia Estrada Claudio, Director of University of the Philippines Center for Women’s Studies; Rainbow Rights Project founding president Atty. Germaine Leonin; UP College of Law Dean Marvic Leonen; and Institute of Human Rights’ Prof. Ibarra Guitierrez. Forum reactors are Atty. Louie Guia of Libertas and Commission on Human Rights Director Karen Dumpit.
