OPINION – Ang Ladlad, the Philippine LGBT party list seeking a congressional seat in the upcoming May 2010 national elections, was denied accreditation by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) for the May 2010 elections, on the grounds of “immorality (as per Quran and the Bible)” and “threat to the youth.” When will Filipino LGBTs have a voice in the legislation?

Taiwan holds Asia’s largest gay Pride March – CarnalNation.com

After staging the country’s first gay pride march in 2003 with an estimated 500 participants, Taiwan is breaking records in Asia after successfully holding a gay pride march dubbed “Love Out Loud! The Power of Love Conquers Discrimination” with 25,000 reported participants last October 31, 2009, according to CarnalNation.com.
